Mental Health Awareness Week "“ 8th to 14th May 2017

Mental Health Awareness Week

As you may already know, this week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme this year is Surviving or Thriving? The aim is to look at good mental health and uncover why so few of us are thriving with it.

An increasing proportion of the population live every day with high levels of stress, anxiety and depression. Too many find that life is a daily battle and have come to accept these mental health effects as the price to pay for survival.

Mental Health Awareness Week aims to show what the long term effects of just surviving are, by highlighting the costs to our health, relationships and future.
If more of us can challenge how survival has become the norm, the hope is that those around us can join the conversation.

If we as a nation can address the daily experience of surviving with poor mental health, we can start to think of what we can do as communities, workplaces, families and individuals to progress from surviving to thriving.

At CiC we encourage all to engage in an open conversation on mental health, our 24 hour support is always available to you and your employees.

If you have questions or wish to talk about surviving, or anything else, please feel free to call. Visit the link below for more information on Mental Health Awareness Week.
