CiC is based in Kensington and provides Employee Assistance Programmes and related psychological services to private and public sector organisations both nationally and internationally.
CiC supports the managers and employees of their client organisations, providing information, advice and counselling interventions as appropriate for individuals and groups.
The initial point of contact for the client is with CiC’s 24 hour Adviceline, which is a telephone helpline offering on the spot support and information, and where helpful a referral to our network of practitioners for, usually, short term work.
We are currently looking for “bank” adviceline consultants, who will be given training to provide cover for shifts of 6.5 hrs and 8 hrs (between 8am and 8.30 pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday) on an ad hoc basis. This is not a permanent post, but offers the opportunity to be one of our ‘bank’ team of consultants who we can then call on to cover shifts as and when necessary, this is often booked in advance, but can be to cover at short notice.
This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the EAP world, to have the experience of working therapeutically with clients on the phone and to work in a small friendly team, in a counselling oriented setting.
Applicants will need to have counselling or psychotherapy training, along with experience of client contact and a commercial/corporate or professional background. Confidence to manage a diverse range of callers often presenting with complex issues along with competence in office systems and the use of a database to maintain records are also necessary.
